To love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength and our neighbor as ourselves.
United in Christ’s love, a just world for all.
Welcome to the online home of First Congregational United Church of Christ. We are located at 6494 Belsay Rd in Grand Blanc, Michigan, right at the corner of Belsay and Perry roads (not far from Swartz Creek). Our church has been and continues to be a vital part of the community at large. Our faith practice is structured under the faith tradition of the United Church of Christ. We place Jesus Christ as the sole head of the Church and we strive to emulate his mission and ministry in this time and place.
As a practicing community of faith in the tradition of the United Church of Christ we look to the word of God in Scripture and pray as did Jesus:”…that they may all be one” (John 17:21). With Jesus Christ as the cornerstone and founder of our Church and the Holy Spirit in our midst, we believe that God has richly blessed us here. We praise and give thanks to God for his redeeming grace and mercy.
If you are looking for a Church home the people of First Congregational UCC will welcome you because no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here Swartz Creek friends! Come just as you are and receive the welcoming embrace of Christian fellowship. Our church is a warm and loving church, and we want you to feel comfortable and at liberty to call on us for anything you need. Feel free to browse through the various areas of our website and learn about our fellowship.
If you are considering a new place of worship near Swartz Creek or anywhere in Genesee County, having a relocation to our area, we would love to have you join us.
United in Spirit and inspired by God’s grace, we welcome all, love all, and seek justice for all.
On the 13th of July, 1833, a number of professed Christians met at the house of Deacon Josiah Owen in Grand Blanc, for the purpose of uniting together in the fellowship and communion of a church.
The United Church of Christ is a united and uniting church. We believe we are called to carry out Christ’s mission in the world today. We belong to Christ and we must follow where Christ leads.
In worship, the reading and understanding of God’s holy word is at the heart of what we do together. We hold scriptural phrases in our hearts that hold our lives together.
