Boys' Basketball Team

This is the second year our church has participated in the Christian Youth Basketball League.  There are three other churches in our league: Faith Lutheran in Grand Blanc, Central Nazarene in Flint, and Emmanuel Baptist also in Flint.  Our boys are the defending Christian Youth Basketball League Champions.  This team won every award in the league last year ( league champs, best team sportsmanship, most wins, and most points scored).  The boys practice twice a week and play our games Thursday nights.  The season has 9 games (2 at home, and traveling to the other churches for the remaining 7 games).  The playoffs consist or a semi final and a final played the same night.  Our team is made up of two boys in The Net and 12 other boys from the surrounding areas that are friends of our two members.  All ten boys from last years championship team returned and we also added four new teammates this year.  We are currently in first place with a record of 6-0.  They have played an unbelievable season thus far and are looking forward to another great ending.  We would love to have everyone come out to the remaining games and support these boys on their amazing journey this season.

Men's Basketball

Sunday evenings from 8-10 pm we host an open gym to any and all members of the church.  We also welcome Upward coaches and staff, friends of members, or anyone that is looking for somewhere to just come and play some recreational basketball.  We get together to get some exercise, get out of the house, and mostly to share  fellowship and build relationships.  We look forward to seeing you in the gym!

Saints and Sinners Co-Ed Slowpitch Softball

First Congregational Church has participated in the Saints and Sinners Co-Ed Slowpitch Softball League for the past several years.  This is an excellent opportunity for fellowship not only with other FCC members and friends, but the community.

The League generally has eight participating churches from the Grand Blanc, Goodrich and surrounding areas.  The League is headed by the Goodrich United Methodist Church, and games are played at either the GUMC, or the Victory Outreach Center in Goodrich.  Games are weekly, and the season runs for eight weeks through June and July, with a week off for the Independence Day holiday.  Playoff are the first two weeks in August.

The games are friendly and fun, and it an enjoyable way to spend a beautiful summer evening.
