  • What We Believe

We believe in the five biblical purposes defined by our congregation found in the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).

    Five Purposes of the Church

    1. Love the Lord with all your heart (Worship)—The church exists to worship God.
    2. Teach them to obey (Discipleship)—The church exists to develop people to spiritual maturity.
    3. Baptize them (Fellowship)—The church exists to provide fellowship and support to believers.
    4. Love your neighbor as yourself (Ministry)—The church exists to bring God’s kingdom to reality through social action and social service.
    5. Go and make disciples (Evangelism)—The church exists to communicate Godʹs Word.

  • Our faith is 2,000 years old. Our thinking is not.We believe in God's continuing testament.  This is why we are committed to hearing God's ancient story anew and afresh in our lives and in the world today.  We try to remain attentive to God's creative movement in the world. Religion and science are not mutually exclusive, and your head and heart are both welcomed into our places of worship.

The Stillspeaking Ministry Stillspeaking. It's the shorter form of "God is still speaking," a campaign by the United Church of Christ to remind us that God still has a lot more to say. Stillspeaking has worked with thousands of UCC churches and individuals across the country to make religion relevant again and to extend an extravagant welcome to all—because no matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here. Here at the United Church of Christ.
